When I really think about it graphic design has nearly been apart of my entire life. Ever since my first computer running windows 98, I would spend countless hours on Paint digitizing my creations. Being the youngest of seven children my brothers' art were literally years ahead of mine. Jealous of their skills, I would take their sketches and I recreate them with my own style. At the time I didn't believe it when one of my brothers said that people get paid to do this.
Scroll DownMy life is full of accidents that would later define my future for the better. How I got my first job, being in a car that flew off the freeway, missing high school registion, my birth, etc.. When I missed registering for classes my junior year of high school I was forced into that last elective available, digital arts, and I loved it. I would take the advanced course my senior year and knew very well what I wanted to major in after graduation.
Sometimes I wonder if I would be where I am now without all these "accidents" ever happening. Well for starters, I definitely wouldn't be alive, but that's not the point I am trying to make. The point is that behind all this good luck I have worked incredibly hard for every opportunity I was given.
Experience
I'm currently under contract with Dataslate. Omar Patel, the owner, was one of my college professors. He reached out to me years later to design the user interface for a company client. Then brought back to design the user experience. Then returned again to pretty assist with a large portion of the front-end development. I am still a member of the team and currently being trained in back-end development. This will hopefully lead to a stronger career as full-stack developmer.
All of pvpzone’s videos, promos, merchandise, and their website were made by me. I also made the website and food menus for their sister company Jackie Bee. For the past three years PVP Zone and LVL Up Expo have hired me for graphic design and video producion for their annual event.
I designed their product packages, promotional materials, and website. I also responsible for video production, website maintence, and photography.
Started as a student in 2015 then hired within their LRC in later that year to then be promoted into their marketing team in 2016. I went from part-time to full-time when I earned my bachelors of arts degree in the Spring of 2017.
